Our Work: Our Partners
Hope Survivors Foundation depends on the generosity and greater visibility of several key organisations to support its work in the UK. Over the course of its existence, HSF has built wonderful relationships with some very recognisable charities. These charities support our work in a variety of ways.
Survivors Fund (SURF)
Survivors Fund is a charitable organisation dedicated to aiding and assisting survivors of the Rwandan genocide. Founded by a variety of organisations and individuals, SURF acts as a channel to distribute financial assistance to groups, individuals and charitable organisations in day to day operations of bringing the people of Rwanda hope, safety, and a decent standard of living. SURF provides guidance to our organisation, whilst continuing to represent and support survivors.

The Medical Foundation for the Care of Victims of Torture
The Medical Foundation has been important in the work HSF does to support the victims of the Rwandan genocide to begin a healing process. The Foundation has a great experience of working with people who have been subjected to tremendous terror and horrific events. The survivors of such experiences take long time to deal with their past, the Medical Foundation has provided a room and space in which therapy sessions take place.

Holocaust Memorial Day Trust
The Holocaust Memorial Day Trust (HMDT) is a national charity formed in 2005. Its vision is that the holocaust and subsequent genocides are known; that victims are commemorated and lessons learnt are translated into contemporary action in the UK. HMDT is responsible for the annual, national commemoration of Holocaust Memorial Day. HMDT provides practical support for our organisation. During the Holocaust Memorial Day week, Hope Survivors Foundation provides survivors to speak about their experiences to schools, community events and organisations in the hope of learning lessons and preventing future genocides.
